Our specialist area of "Vehicle Integration" offers you the functional integration of individual modules in the whole vehicle. The main focuses of our 13 specialist departments cover the subjects:

• Virtual and real testing
• Validation and certification

Function development is covers the overall testing of all of the vehicle's attributes. This includes active and passive safety, longitudinal and cross-dynamics, operational strength, NVH, aerodynamics and aero-acoustics as well as subjects such as thermal management, HVAC and cooling. Furthermore, we ensure the integration of the seat belt system module, chassis, drive train and the heating and air-conditioning components for you:From geometric integration and the management of system suppliers through to the final approval recommendation.

In current vehicle development with increasingly low development times and an ever decreasing number of test platforms, virtual trials with CAE methods are adopting a correspondingly important position. The whole vehicle and the modules, especially in the early development phases, are designed virtually and optimized with respect to mechanical structure properties, passengers and pedestrian safety.

The real tests and trials are performed at EDAG by two laboratory facilities. The test laboratory deals with module testing - mainly in the areas of vehicle safety, acoustics and NVH, environmental simulation, operational strength and endurance tests, as well as tests in the area of engine cooling and inspections on HVAC components.Within our ATC (Accredited Test Center) in Fulda, tests are performed according to the specified norms and regulations. The main focus is on testing components made of polymer materials as well as electrical and electronic components in the automobile industry.In addition to this, the Test Systems department deals with the conception, development, construction and assembly of test stations both for EDAG's own test laboratories and as a service for our customers.Full vehicle validation offers extensive services in the area of trial management; starting with the production of vehicle and component specification books, planning and coordination of the full extent of trials and test platforms.In the affiliated Vehicle Prepare Center, we can setup and convert test platforms and produce individual parts and special solutions.
