Absolutely Reliable

With our range of virtual and real testing, we offer you a fully integrated offer for time-efficient and cost-effective vehicle development.
With the "digital product" instruments, we ensure early optimisation of all quality and function properties in the whole vehicle.
The validation of results takes place in our internal test laboratory. This is where we are capable of performing the detection of material parameters to provide current data for the calculation for new materials.

CAE

Our specialist CAE department supports production development in the functional design of components, systems or whole vehicles.

The range of services covers the following subject areas:

  • Rigidity, strength and misuse loads
  • Vibrations and acoustics
  • Operational strength and durability
  • Vehicle dynamics
  • Vehicle safety
  • Structure design with respect to crash
  • Passenger protection with respect to the design of seat belt systems

  • Flow simulations (aerodynamics, interior acclimatization, …)

Furthermore, production subjects or subjects from other industry branches are observed. With the help of the calculation, affordable components can be optimized with respect to the tension flow using different processes (shape, topology and multi-disciplinary) to be able to apply a minimum weight.
Within the scope of optimization, different material concepts (steel, plastic, aluminum, GFK and CFK) are also compared with each other. There is close cooperation with our own in-house test laboratory ATC, to be able to determine the necessary material parameters in trials directly on the EDAG premises. With the help of these trials, the right material cards for all solvers are subsequently produced.
Furthermore, our team is involved in programming software tools to permanently optimize the internal process times and generate new solution approaches.

EDAG CAE

Dimensional Management

With the help of dimensional management (tolerance management), we establish the size and the variations of the assembly tolerances for you in the development phase, with the aim of allowing as large individual part tolerances as possible while complying with the  geometric target specifications. With the results, we also ensure a high and simultaneously reproducible geometric quality of your products.

EDAG Test Lab

Our laboratory offers you the performance of tests and inspections from individual components and modules through to the whole vehicle. With our experience and our wide range of test and inspection facilities, we ensure the functionality and long service life and show you the roads to success within the scope of concept examinations.

ATC Fulda (Accredited Test Center Fulda)

The "ATC FULDA – Accredited Test Center Fulda" is an accredited DAkkS test laboratory according to DIN EN ISO 17025. The ATC FULDA has flexible accreditation which certifies the expertise to not only test according to the stipulated norms and specifications but also to make modifications if required.

Our clients are primarily the automobile industry, its suppliers and the raw materials industry.
The main extent of our services covers part and component testing. We focus on parts made of polymer materials as well as electrical and electronic components for the automobile industry.
The testing services offered extend from the definition of material properties through to ageing and weathering simulations.
Within the EDAG Group, the ATC FULDA supports cross-divisional projects as a service provider. One main activity is the definition of material data and the production of material cards for the crash simulation in cooperation with our CAE-Team.

Our specialist "Testing Technology" department in Recklinghausen has been offering you extensive services and experiences in the conceptualization, construction and assembly of test stations for more than two decades. We support you in solving your testing and trial work in development and production. Our team takes on engineering responsibility, and supports the entire process from analysis of the test work through to a turnkey installation.
