We provide a complete package which covers not just production planning and mechanical production equipment design, but also automation in its entirety.

The advantages of the digital factory are mainly in the parallelisation of the individual engineering stages, and therefore in faster implementation and start-up. The modern planning tools are based on databases which support the mechatronic engineering. This means that electrical design is carried out parallel to mechanical engineering, and that PLC programming can be started very soon afterwards. 3D CAD data plus the data from the robot simulations and offline programming provide the original data for virtual start-up, which at EDAG is carried out before every real-life start-up, to guarantee that the equipment can be started up effectively and safely.

We test new engineering strategies and tools in internal and external work groups, checking that they are practicable, to guarantee our customers the best possible benefit. Also, we have taken out membership in AutomationML e.V, work in close cooperation with Siemens PLM , Dassault and EPLAN, and make extensive use of WINMod und INVISION.

Our team, which has experience gained in many automotive projects, handles the electrical design and programming in line with your own standard specifications. Our intensive, long-standing knowledge of these processes guaranteed high effectivity. Additional support also comes from our close links with Mechanical Engineering, so that results can be available as early as possible.

We are well versed in the handling of Siemens, Rockwell, BOSCH, PhoenixContact, HIMA and PILZ controls.

Virtual start-up enables us to ensure the quality of our PLC and robot programs, which reduces start-up times, so the machines can be up and running more quickly. 

The electrical engineering project management and implementation by EDAG guarantee optimum, professional completion. Especially if this is combined with virtual start-up, optimisation potential can then even be realised on-site.
