Press Release : Rücker Nord AB operates under the new company name EDAG Engineering AB

The consulting company Rücker Nord AB based in Göteborg is since October 2014 included with the biggest undependable supplier in the international vehicle industry in the world.

This is a result of their parent organization Rücker joining EDAG, who together creates the new company EDAG Engineering AG.

EDAG Engineering AG has a global presence with 75 agencies in 25 countries and has an annual turnover of 675 M€, with a total of 8000 employees.  The most important marketplaces are Western and Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, USA, Mexico and Brazil.

EDAG Engineering AG's client base consists of the leading operators in the light and heavy vehicle industry, as well as their development suppliers.  EDAG provides the latest capabilities within the product and production development, which are performed as consulting assignments or complete project commitments, from concept to the finished product.

The business in Göteborg was founded in 1959 known as the engineering company Berndt Nord and was bought by Rücker in 2000. Since then the company has been operating by the company name Rücker Nord AB and is now part of the key operators within the Eastern Swedish vehicle industry, that consists of about 130 engineers with mechanical and electrical competence within product and process development.

"Our establishment in Göteborg gives us the opportunity to locally provide our Swedish clients such as AB Volvo, Volvo Cars and CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology) our specialist competence in product development", Matthias Moser, the new managing director of EDAG Engineering AB explains.

"We also see a possibility to provide a global support and access to the latest trends in product development to our customers.  EDAG Engineering AG operates many intern research projects in lightweight construction and electric car development."

Matthias is looking positively at the development of the Swedish vehicle industry and foretells an annual growth at 10%.
