Two continents, two countries, two new EDAG facilities

EDAG continues its course of expansion

With the opening of two new facilities in Puebla Pue. (Mexico) and Seoul (South Korea) in September 2013, EDAG continued on its course of expansion and reinforced the company's international presence in the automobile growth markets.
In Mexico, EDAG is starting out with a vehicle development team that is currently 46-strong. In Seoul, EDAG Production Solutions, an EDAG subsidiary, has set up a team of 12 to work in the field of forming technology.

Hardly any other industrial sector is quite as subject to global economic fluctuations as the automotive industry: in Mexico the business barometer for the automotive future is constantly at. Many German manufacturers and suppliers have set up businesses in Mexico, or will be doing so in the near future. We therefore decided to open up a facility in Puebla Pue. in Mexico, so as to be able to support our European customers in Central America," explained Jörg Ohlsen in the speech he made at the opening ceremony on 27th September, 2013, which was attended by 100 guests from the worlds of politics and business. "In the near future, we will see Mexico develop into one of the major centres of the automotive industry.
