The EDAG Group opens an engineering office in Friedrichshafen

Having acquired Schaafhausen Engineering GmbH in Friedrichshafen, the EDAG Group, the world's largest independent engineering company has opened a design office there, extending the company's presence in the south of Germany even further. For EDAG, this is yet another step along the path of technological development.

Schaafhausen Engineering GmbH, an engineering office for CAD design, was founded in 1995. Since its foundation, the company has worked as a direct supplier to the automotive industry, with the main fields of activity of the eight people who work there focusing on body shop equipment and the development of new concepts in the fields of hemming and moulding technology.
In addition, the company has established itself as a developer of application software, for instance in the area of PDM and PLM modules, data transmission software and various tools for engineering optimisation.

The EDAG Group will in future be continually developing and expanding the technological site on Lake Constance. Particular attention is to be given to intensifying cooperation with the universities and technical colleges in the Lake Constance area.

In the creation of these new, highly qualified jobs, EDAG also sees an opportunity of attracting young, committed graduates to a future-oriented company and thus securing the next generation of staff for the globally active EDAG Group.
