Since 1998, EDAG Group has been working on laser processes and laser protection.
Over the years we have been working on different aspects of this special field so that we now have a wide scope of experience ranging from the production of our own laser tools, the integration of numerous brands or developing concepts and implementation of our own or third-party processes.
 
At the moment our work in the area of laser technology takes in on the one hand laser processes, from concept to implementation, and on the other hand work in the area of safety, in particular, production of laser protection cabins.

Laser processes Method and process planning for laser processes are some of our skills. Our experience ranges from SE development during product development to standardised laser cells for welding, cutting and soldering. We have our own laser laboratory in Fulda, where we not only carry out our own tests but may also carry out tests for you. We can assist you with your approval process conceptions.

Laser protection cabins Worldwide, our laser shielding system is well known for its high safety standards when used during gas and high-power, solid body laser processes. Besides passive safety, we also offer an active safety system with the EVI (EDAG Vision Inspector). The system monitors the area in which the area is working, and is able to detect faults. The advantage is greater safety whilst the thickness of the protective wall remains the same.
