EDAG RGS - Robot Guiding System

With EDAG RGS, the image of the sensor is processed to generate a command for the actuators, e.g. the robot. Our algorithm is applied to guide a tool - depending on the part, to its exact designated position.

As a result parts tolerances and part location fixtures are problems of the past.

There are three different systems used, the RGS 2D, the RGS 2,5D and the RGS 3D. The RGS 2D is used for nutwelding and riveting. For T-stud-welding the RGS 2,5 or RGS 3D are used. Furthermore the RGS is used for detection of the exact postion of the relevant hole and part contour or shape and for the exact positioning of the welding or riveting head.
