At the beginning of 2007, with our subsidiary, Mühlenberg Interiors GmbH & Co. KG, we took our first steps towards becoming a supplier of cabin modules. Mühlenberg is a certified company specialising in the development, production and maintenance of aircraft interiors for passenger, VIP and freight aircraft, and has now become one of the world's leading manufacturers of top quality cabin equipment.

The company site in Hamburg, which employs 190 staff, develops and manufactures galleys, lockers and other similar lightweight aircraft components for airlines, aircraft producers and completion centres. Worldwide, Mühlenberg supplies monuments as plug & play solutions.

Perfect combination of comfort and functionality

Mechanical precision and an eye for detail, twinned with state-of-the-art CNC machines and processes are what define Mühlenberg's business. The engineers here work hand in hand with the production experts - from the idea, its development and design, through to production and approval. Product development is supported by state-of-the-art CAD technology. In the company's own metal parts manufacturing department, sophisticated fittings and mounting elements are milled with the utmost precision on the most up-to-date of machines. The sandwich plates are manufactured with millimetre precision using computer-assisted technology. Painting and decorating work is carried out in the company's own plant, where strict environmental regulations are observed.

Mühlenberg galleys, Doghouse storage boxes or dividing walls are composed almost exclusively of components developed and produced on the company's own premises. This means that the design engineers and manufacturing professionals can also implement individual, weight-optimised customer requests. This puts Mühlenberg in a position whereby it can produce and supply its products both as custom-made items and as part of a series. Mühlenberg guarantees all-round service on all cabin elements for their entire operational lives.

Worldwide product reliability

The teams in Development, Production and Quality Assurance at Mühlenberg have one common aim: to produce world class interiors, designed to fully satisfy the requirements of customers all around the world. To ensure that each part that leaves the production plant meets the high safety standards of international aviation, Mühlenberg products are not simply examined just the once, following production, but are subject to continual checks throughout the entire development and production process. Each component is put through a wide-ranging assessment programme. With the assistance of finite element models, all designs are checked at an early stage, and the static test on a conventional test bench provides the final proof of performance. Mühlenberg satisfies the aerospace industry's high quality and safety standards (EASA - 21 J, EASA - 21 G, EASA - 145 und EN 9100 (QSF-C)).
