EDAG Group Continues Growth Strategy
The EDAG Group, the world's largest independent engineering company, continues its growth strategy with systematic investments in the expansion of its customer-oriented site network. On 14th March, 2014, EDAG will be opening the Mönsheim branch, the company's 15th engi-neering office in Germany, expanding its local presence for customers from the automotive industry. EDAG will be offering a comprehensive range of vehicle development engineering services at this facility, which is situated in the direct vicinity of premium customer Porsche.
"To begin with, we will be starting out with a 70-strong team of experienced, tried and tested employees. Our range of services includes complete vehicle and module development, calculation, electrical/electronic engineering, tolerance management and vehicle integration," explained Violen Schopp-Kwasniak, Key Account Manager for Porsche and Mönsheim Branch Manager.
"From Mönsheim, our customers will, of course, have access to our global site network and integrated competencies, from styling to ready-to-drive prototypes."
Apart from all technical means of communication, the EDAG Group has always placed great value on having a customer-oriented site network. "Especially in project business, personal contact with the customer is an absolute must, and an essential element of the way in which we regard service," confirmed Werner Kropsbauer, EDAG Group CEO. "We are therefore pleased that the opening of our new branch office will enable us to offer our customer Porsche our high service standards."
The Mönsheim facility is scheduled to continue to grow in the years ahead. The workforce is expected to have increased by 130 by the end of 2016, to give a 200-strong team. "We are looking for motivated graduates and people with experience in just about every technical field, for instance automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical/electronic engineering," explained Violen Schopp-Kwasniak. "I am looking forward to developing the team in Mönsheim, and to intensifying our cooperation with Porsche."
